Awesome. I really like the sound of that walnut snare. I was thinking of picking one up. The G2's are just the standard clear heads. I have used the Hydrolix (i think that's how they spell them...maybe not). I used them for a heavy rock act. They sound pretty heavy and cut most of the overtones. A little extreme for what I normally do, but pretty cool. I also used the control edge Evans for a pop group. Those were impressive. They even have a somewhat coated centre. I'm gonna miss the kit, while I'm in Southampton for the next couple years. Gonna have to buy a Roland V-kit I think.

thanks man. i love the evans G2 clears. The Iron Cobra's have held up great. I've also got a single pedal version that I got when they first came out. I've had nothing but great performance from them. I've actually worn the foot smooth believe it or not. I was able to get the Starclassic Maple was the result of a relationship with a local shop because I'm pretty active in the Toronto music sceen. I also use some ludwig brass snares. Love those alot.

Hey there, how are you liking your 55? I'm pretty impressed with it so far, but I keep hearing a lot of stories about people blowing them. Mines fine so far...

Whenever I catch reruns, I can't help but wonder what happened to all if his paintings?
